PRESS RELEASE FROM EVENT ORGANIZERS:
“The current flooding in Louisiana is the worst natural disaster to strike the United States since Superstorm Sandy.” The American Red Cross [says] 40,000 homes have been damaged, and over 4,000 people are in shelters, many of them children, the elderly and disabled.
Cam MacQueen of the Block off Biltmore and several musicians have volunteered their time [for a] benefit Tuesday night (August 23, from 8 PM to 11 PM), to raise funds for the Red Cross Flood Relief Program. Three bands will perform:
• The Jason DeCristofaro Trio feat. Simon George (8 – 8:50 PM)
• The Chuck Lichtenberger Trio (9 – 9:50 PM)
• The Dan Keller Quartet (10 – 10:50 PM).Please join us! We need your help to make a difference. The cover will be a $10 minimum suggested donation, with 100% of proceeds going to the Red Cross for its Flood Relief Program.
