Expo to support minority owned businesses Sept. 29

As part of Minority Enterprise Development Week, the WNC organization will host a special business expo for minority owned businesses next Thursday Sept. 29. They will also be distributing awards to recognize special businesses at a ceremony spotlighting Best Emerging and Best Existing Minority Business of 2016. It will be catered by a regional minority business, Pops and Grits from Maggie Valley.

The MED committee is also inviting the public to join them for an after event celebration at the Block Off Biltmore (corner of Eagle and Market Streets) following the awards presentations. Attendees will receive a token for one free drink.

Where: A-B Tech’s Ferguson Auditorium
When: Thurs. Sept. 29, 2-4 p.m. for Expo and 5-7 p.m for awards presentations
How much: Free and open to the public
