Safelight holds “Night of the Child,” benefit for child abuse prevention Sept. 9

Press release:

Safelight is excited to invite the community to their upcoming event, “Night of the Child,” a benefit to help Safelight prevent and treat child abuse, Saturday, September 9 from 6:00 – 9:00 PM at Burntshirt Vineyards in Hendersonville.
This fun gathering will feature a silent auction with art donated by regional artists, delicious food from Dandelion and Hannah Flanagan’s, award-winning wines from Burntshirt Vineyards, beer from the Asheville Brewer’s Alliance, and musical entertainment by Jason Whitaker of Asheville Acoustics.
Safelight’s Program Director for Believe Child Advocacy Center, Andi Craven spoke enthusiastically about this event. “We want everyone to know that Safelight is their resource for helping to prevent or heal from child abuse. We look forward to gathering with our community to celebrate the 236 children whose lives have been improved after receiving help from Believe Child Advocacy Center.” Craven continued, “This work is truly a community effort. Believe is a program of Safelight that brings the necessary community partners together to help prevent, investigate, and prosecute child abuse while caring for the child and non-offending family members.”
