DuPont Forest closes single-track trails until Oct. 13 due to rain

Press release from the Friends of DuPont Forest:

Please note that the N.C. Forest Service closed all single-track trails in DuPont due to the 5 inches of rain Tropical Storm Michael dumped on us over the past 48 hours. Forest roads and graveled two-track trails, such as High Falls Loop, Triple Falls Trail and Hooker Falls Trail, will remain open.

Forest officials expect conditions to improve enough for trail reopening on Saturday, Oct. 13, 2018.  More details are available on our website.

Please protect our trails, stay on the gravel, and spread the word.
