Guidelines for Facebook Community Action Grants :
- Facebook grants are available to projects in Rutherford, Cleveland, McDowell, and Polk Counties that address critical community needs by putting the power of technology to use for community benefit, connecting people online or off, or improving local STEM education.
- Any organization requesting a grant amount totaling more than $15,000 may be required to share an oral presentation and answer questions on the specifics of the project with the data center grants committee.
- Groups may apply for one grant per charitable organization registration, with the exception of schools and certain public works organizations who may apply for multiple grants within their organization.
- Grant applications will be accepted from Oct. 29, 2018 until midnight Dec. 7, 2018. Grant recipients will be announced in the early part of 2019.
- Facebook community grants are intended for public and private nonprofits. For-profit companies are not eligible to receive funds through this program.
- Eligible organizations must have a Facebook Page. This requirement doesn’t extend to personal pages. To create a Facebook Page for your organization before submitting an application, please visit facebook.com/pages/create.php.
- The funds allocated are intended to be used during the calendar year in which they’re awarded. The project must have demonstrable metrics that can be publicly reported. We ask that a semi-annual report be provided on how the funds are being used and their impact in the community.
- Applications will be reviewed by a committee of Facebook employees. We will only use the information you provide us to assess and process your application, and communicate with you regarding this program. For more information, see our Data Policy.
- This grant program is administered by CAF America. CAF America’s Privacy Policy can be found here.
