Press release from AdventHealth Hendersonville:
AdventHealth Hendersonville has lifted its visitor restrictions tied to influenza. In January, AdventHealth Hendersonville implemented restrictions due to a sharp increase in influenza-like illness across the state as reported by the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services.
AdventHealth Medical Group physicians and care teams have seen a significant decrease in the number of cases of flu among their patients. That, along with the drops in the rate of reported cases on the state level, has led to the decision to lift the visitor restrictions.
AdventHealth will continue to remain alert for family/visitors who may be experiencing symptoms of flu. If members of our care teams identify someone with flu-like symptoms, we will ask that they refrain from visiting.
We also continue to encourage family/visitors to voluntarily refrain from visiting if they are feeling ill or have respiratory infection symptoms.
For up-to-date information on the flu, please visit flu.nc.gov.
If you have symptoms of the flu, please contact your physician immediately, or call 855-774-LIFE (5433) to schedule an appointment with an AdventHealth Medical Group Physician.
