Asheville Yoga Center supports Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue through Sept. 26 adoption event

Press release from Asheville Yoga Center:

Asheville Yoga Center aims to educate and raise funds for Charlie’s Animal Rescue in September as a part of its Charity of the Month program. The nonprofit was founded in early 2009 with the purpose of rescuing animals from the Transylvania County animal shelter which was, at the time, a high-kill shelter. Today, they are one of the leading animal rescue groups in western North Carolina.

“We are fortunate to share the core value of compassion with Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue. Yoga teaches us to have gratitude and compassion for all living things, and what better way to live this value off the mat than by showing love and support to innocent animals,” says Melissa Driver, General Manager of Asheville Yoga Center.

If you want to improve the lives of animals right here in your local community, we invite you to join us for our adoption event and Day of Giving on Thursday, Sept. 26. We will have puppies ready for adoption on campus from 11:30 a.m until 2 p.m. To show our gratitude for all the work Charlie’s Angels Animal Rescue does, we will also donate 10 percent of drop-in and community class sales. Donation boxes will be available in both the Studio and Boutique for those who wish to give a monetary donation.
