Pisgah Health Foundation (PHF) is excited to announce the opening of our second community grant funding opportunity. Our mission is to purposefully, creatively, and collaboratively enhance the health and well-being of our community by addressing local health and wellness inequities through strategic and meaningful partnerships. Beginning October 7, organizations working to support this mission are invited to submit online a letter of intent (LOI), the first phase in the grant process. After a review of the LOIs, selected organizations will be invited to begin the online application process for grant funding.
Key Dates for Grant Cycle 2
October 7 – Open date to receive Letters of Intent
November 7 – Closing date for Letters of Intent
December 1 – Open date for applications for invited potential grantees
December 31 – Closing date for applicationsPHF has devoted itself to addressing social determinants of health (SDoH) in our region. SDoH are factors in people’s lives that either make it easier, or more difficult, to be as healthy as possible. PHF has chosen to seek impactful changes in the areas of:
Childhood Education
Food Insecurity
Housing and Homelessness
Health Education, Obesity, Substance Abuse, and Mental Health
Social CohesionWe encourage organizations working in one or more of these areas to participate in the grant process and complete the online letter of intent. Special consideration will be given to WNC region C4: Buncombe, Haywood and Madison Counties.
