Press release from Haywood County TDA:
Today, the Haywood County Board of Commissioners terminated COVID related proclamations. By doing so, anyone coming in from outside of Haywood County no longer has to quarantine for 14 days and it also eliminates the need for anyone who has been out of the county for three days or more to quarantine for 14 days.
Haywood County is however, still under the Governor’s Stay at Home order which is scheduled to be in effect through May 8th. Governor Cooper has expressed that he is hopeful that North Carolina will be able to move into Phase 1 of the recovery plan on May 9th and begin to open some designated businesses.
The Commissioners did pass a resolution requesting the State to allow Haywood County Government determine their own phased plan to reopen business in Haywood County.
Thank you and we will continue to send updates during these challenging times.
