Press release from Buncombe County Government:
Due to limited staffing resources and increased traffic, we want the public to know that we are currently experiencing extended wait times at the Buncombe County Transfer Station and expect those wait times to continue through Saturday and Monday.
The Landfill currently has shorter wait times; however, Friday, Dec. 11, is Household Hazardous Waste Day and we expect to see longer lines and wait times at the Landfill as well. We are asking our visitors to please plan for extended wait times at both locations. We apologize for the inconveniences potential delays may cause.
