Outstanding community philanthropists to be honored on Nov. 16

The Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Western North Carolina Chapter is celebrating National Philanthropy Day at the Crowne Plaza on Wednesday, November 16, 2022 at 11:30 a.m.

 

National Philanthropy Day is a special day to recognize and pay tribute to the great contributions that philanthropy – and those active in the philanthropic community – make to our lives, communities and world. More than 130 AFP chapters across the country, including the Western North Carolina chapter, will celebrate the importance of philanthropy and recognize those who are doing extraordinary work in our communities.  

 

The 2022 recipients of WNC National Philanthropy Awards are:


Outstanding Business in Philanthropy: Hatchworks
Outstanding Fundraising Executive: Julie Heinitsh 
Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser: Jon Neumann
Outstanding Youth in Philanthropy: Rachel White
Outstanding Philanthropist: Frances and Richard Healy
Summit Award: Ernest Ferguson
T. Kennon Roberson Management Excellence in Nonprofit Health and Human Services: Doc Hendley
