MH Mission Hospital LLLP has filed a certificate of need application with the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services to develop a freestanding emergency department in Asheville. The proposed emergency department would offer emergency, laboratory, radiology and pharmacy services.
The project is expected to cost $29 million and would be completed in July 2025.
A public hearing for this project will be held June 19 at 9:30 a.m. in the Ferguson Auditorium of Asheville Buncombe Technical Community College, 340 Victoria Road in Asheville.
Anyone may file written comments concerning this proposal. Comments must be received by the Healthcare Planning and Certificate of Need Section no later than 5 p.m. on May 31.
