Elected officials to gather for candlelight vigil honoring those affected by Hurricane Helene

ASHEVILLE, NC – Elected officials from the City of Asheville, Buncombe County, and the North Carolina Legislature will gather for a candlelight vigil to remember and honor the families, businesses, and communities devastated by Hurricane Helene. This event invites the community to come together for a moment of reflection, unity, and support for those who have been deeply impacted. “As we continue our efforts to rebuild, it is important to take moments like this to honor the lives lost and the immense challenges our community has faced,” said Asheville Mayor Esther Manheimer. “This vigil is an opportunity for all of us to come together and remember that in times of devastation, the strength of our community is our greatest resource.”
