Asheville Police interrupt breaking and entering

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

Asheville, NC (November 1, 2024): Asheville Police officers apprehended a man who had forced entry into a home in north Asheville attempting to steal items overnight.

Officers responded to a call of someone breaking into a home on Glen Falls Road around 1:47 a.m. on November 1st. Upon arrival, officers made contact with Ryan Douglas Ross (09/19/1975) as he attempted to exit the residence, and took him into custody. Thankfully, the residents inside were unharmed. During their investigation, Ross was found to be in possession of drugs and several items that belonged to the owner of the home.

Ryan Douglas Ross (09/19/1975)

First Degree Burglary

Larceny After Breaking and Entering

Breaking And Entering of Motor Vehicle with Theft

Injury to Real Property

Simple Possession Schedule II

Ross was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible for release) by a magistrate due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.
