Old and new: Self-described "folkestral" six-piece Hey Marseilles specializes in lush, pop-friendly ballads with soaring string sections, old-world accordion, delicate keys, dueling horns and narrative tales of longing for and finding home. Yet, despite the band's sprawling, orchestral arrangements, The Seattle-based outfit fits comfortably with the modern indie folk scene. Hey Marseilles plays The Grey Eagle on Friday, Oct. 18.
