For electronic-music pioneer Bob Moog, the intersection of music and technology was a kinetic place. For Moogfest weekend, the intersection of music and art will be just as dynamic. With more than 69 bands performing, Mooger-goers need help navigating the festival’s sounds and sights. Inside, we’ve got a pull-out insert with a map, schedule and info on the shows and events. And while the fest’s lineup is as diverse in its second year as it was in its first, we’ve bridged the gaps between bands and connected the genres for you. Read on to decipher their meaning. We’ve got a look at both the Moog Foundation and Moog Music, both based in Asheville and both carrying on the legacy of the man who started it all.
Writers: Miles Britton, Joe Chapman, Justin Farrar, Jordan Lawrence, Alli Marshall, Dane Smith.
