Seems there’s some date and venue shuffling going on. Here’s your Friday afternoon music news roundup:
• The Lucinda Williams show has changed venues, according to the folks at AC Entertainment. Previously scheduled for the Thomas Wolfe Auditorium, it’ll now be held at the Orange Peel. The show will still be on Thursday, Sept. 25. Still waiting for an update on what will happen with ticket prices and for those who already bought tickets.
• The Buckerettes CD release party at the Orange Peel will move to Friday, Sept. 26, instead of its previously scheduled Thursday, Sept. 25.
• Rodrigo Y Gabriela has cancelled its Friday, Sept. 26, show, due to a “scheduling conflict.” If you’ve already bought a ticket, your refund will come from the place you bought it.
• The Loki Festival announced its 1st annual Secret Mystery Headliner: the wry alt-rock band Cake. This ends weeks of speculation (primarily on the Loki festival’s forums) that it might be Trey Anastasio, Les Claypool or Phil Lesh.
