Each season of LEAF (Lake Eden Arts Festival) has its own flavor. Not a theme, per se, but certain threads that run along the lines of world beat, folk and Americana sounds. This time around? Roots-informed heavy-hitters like The Mickey Hart Band, The Tony Rice Unit, The Be Good Tanyas and Sol Driven Train. Also check out Tinariwen (a band of Tuareg-Berber musicians from the Sahara Desert), local artist Jonathan Scales and MC Yogi (who combines hip-hop with Hindu devotional chants).
