Yes, Virginia, there is a Buncombe County Board of Commissioners meeting tomorrow. It’s a formidable one too: while most eyes will be on the polls, the board will vote on a controversial rezoning, appointments to the powerful county planning board and a plan to borrow upwards of $37 million to fund capital projects.
Early voting hours extended to 5 p.m. Saturday
Due to record voter turnout, the Buncombe County Board of Elections has extended voting hours on the final day of the early voting period. Voters can now register and cast a ballot at the 15 early voting locations until 5 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 1.
