A celebration of Mexico

If you’re looking for an opportunity to break out the fiesta attire, then Ocho de Mayo: A Celebration of Mexico might be just your ticket. The event will be held on Friday, May 8, from 7-9:30 p.m at the Asheville Sister Cities headquarters (33 Page Ave.) and will feature Mexican guitar music by Michael Luchtan, a Mexican  folk dance demo, food and drink, and a raffle with promised ‘amazing prizes.’ Fiesta attire is encouraged.

Admission is $10 per person (includes 1 free drink ticket.) Space is limited so interested parties are asked to RSVP by May 5 to gwengh@charter.net or karon@ashevillerealtygroup.com.

The event is presented by the Valladolid and San Cristóbal committees of Asheville Sister Cities and all proceeds go to the scholarship funds for the two committees.
