A-B Tech to graduate over 1,000 on Saturday, May 12

PRESS RELEASE from A-B Tech Community College:

More than 1,000 students will be candidates for degrees and diplomas when A-B Tech holds graduation ceremonies at 2 p.m. May 12 in Wilma Sherrill Center on the UNC Asheville campus.

Bill Murdock, Executive Director of Eblen Charities and an A-B Tech alumus, will deliver the commencement address. Murdock graduated from A-B Tech in 1979 with a degree in Business Administration. He later received a degree in Education with a concentration in mathematics from Mars Hill College. He has completed advanced studies in nonprofit management at Duke and Harvard universities.

Murdock joined Eblen Charities in 1992, a year after its founding by Joe Eblen, President of Biltmore Oil Company. Eblen Charities is a non-profit organization whose outreach extends throughout the counties of Western North Carolina.

The graduation will be held, rain or shine.
