Here’s an excerpt from the Asheville Citizen-Times article:
Earth Fare, the homegrown organic supermarket chain that has grown to 31 stores, will close its distribution warehouse here, affecting about 25 employees.
“On Oct. 12, Earth Fare will transition from its Fletcher, N.C. warehouse, to third-party distribution providers,” Kristi Kanzig, assistant director of marketing, said via email. “Earth Fare has outgrown its current space and needs additional support to facilitate its rapid growth into new and current markets.”
Started in Asheville, Earth Fare now has 31 stores in the Southeast and Midwest, including two in Asheville and others in the Carolinas, Alabama, Florida, Ohio, Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana.
