UPDATED: APD seeking assistance to locate Reshod Lamar Henderson

Reshod Lamar Henderson is in custody. He is currently being held at the Buncombe County Detention Facility on a $125,000 secured bond. We would like to thank the United States Marshals Service Carolina Regional Fugitive Task Force for their assistance in taking Henderson into custody.

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

At approximately 8 p.m. on September 17 the Asheville Police Department (APD) responded to a report of an assault that occurred on Keebler Road in east Asheville. The victim was found to have been choked and beaten by a suspect. Detectives assigned to the Buncombe County Family Justice Center (FJC) began an investigation into the incident immediately.

Detectives have charged Reshod Lamar Henderson, 45, of Asheville, with the following offenses following their investigation:

  • First degree kidnapping
  • Assault by strangulation
  • Assault on a female

The APD is seeking the assistance of the public to locate and safely bring Henderson into custody. Henderson should be considered armed and dangerous, and the public should contact 911 immediately and use caution if he is encountered. He is described as a black male, 45 years old, 5’7″, and approximately 200 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
