Press release from Asheville Police Department:
Asheville, NC (July 3, 2024): Joshua Allen Forrest (04/20/1999) has been located and arrested on two counts of Felony Larceny for stealing a trailer belonging to the Asheville Humane Society. Forrest was taken into custody without incident, and the trailer was recovered.
The Haywood County Sheriff’s Office located and arrested Forrest on July 1. Forrest was booked into the Haywood County Detention Facility under a $10,000 (or $1,000 to a bondsman) and has since been released.
APD thanks the Haywood County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance in the arrest. Also, thanks to the public for their tips, which helped locate the suspect.
