Asheville, NC (July 7, 2023): Asheville Police Department Detectives and Officers arrested four on drug and gun charges while investigating the shooting that occurred at Maple Crest Apartments on July 5.
Seized:
-Mossberg 715P AR pistol (.22 cal)
-Glock 19 pistol (9mm)
-Polymer 80 self-manufactured pistol (9mm)
-22DU of Oxycodone
-3.67g of crack
-40.20g of marijuana
Arrested:
Demarkria Marquell Miller (08/17/1991)
-Warrant: Maintain a Dwelling for Controlled Substances
-Charged: Possession of Firearm by Felon
-Charged: Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II
-Charged: Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000ft of a School
-Charged: Carrying a Concealed Gun
Miller was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility on July 6 under a $525,000 secured bond (or $52,500 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.
Maurice Harris Jr (08/27/2004)
-Charged: Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule II
-Charged: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Harris was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility on July 6 under a $5,000 secured bond (or $500 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.

-Charged: Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver Schedule VI
-Charged: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
Jacobs was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility on July 6 under a $4,000 secured bond (or $400 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.

-Charged: Possession with Intent to Sell or Deliver a Controlled Substance within 1,000ft of a School
-Charged: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia
-Charged: Resist/Delay/Obstruct
Bailey is currently being held in the Buncombe County Detention Facility under a $ secured bond (or $ to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.
The shooting investigation by APD Detectives remains ongoing.
