Statement from the Asheville Police Department:
Asheville, NC (November 3, 2015): The Asheville Police Department continues to place the utmost priority on locating Alexandra King and Tatianna Diz. A search plan is in place and incorporates the Asheville Fire Department rescue boats and dive team. Investigators continue to follow-up with significant leads and analyze evidence collected over the past week.
Last night the Asheville Police Department was notified of a Facebook post claiming to have seen Alexandra King. Detectives immediately began to investigate the claim and made contact with the individual responsible for the posting.
Earlier this afternoon, deputies from the Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office transported Pierre Lamont Griffin II from the Spartanburg County Detention Center to the Buncombe County Detention Center. Griffin is currently facing charges of one count of first degree murder for the shooting of Uhon Johnson on the evening of Tuesday, October 27th.
