Asheville, NC (September 20, 2024): Asheville Police Investigators are seeking an armed robber who held up a west Asheville gas station at knifepoint Wednesday afternoon.
APD officers responded to a gas station in the 100 block of Smokey Park Highway around 4:45 p.m. on September 18th to investigate an armed robbery. Upon arrival, an employee told officers a man entered the store, brandished a knife, and demanded that the cash register be opened. After taking the cash, the man fled on foot.Investigators say the man is described as a light-skinned male with a black mustache, around 5’6”-5’8”, small stature, appearing to be in his early 20s, wearing all black, and was wearing a black ski mask.APD is asking for the public’s help in identifying the armed robber. If anyone has any information about the identity of the suspect, please contact APD at (828) 252-1110.
