Ashevillean selected by American Industrial Hygiene Association as a 2015 distinguished lecturer

Local resident Don Linville was selected, along with a dozen other individuals, by the American Industrial Hygiene Association as a 2015 distinguished lecturer.

The Center for Toxicology and Environment Health (CTEH) today announced that Don Linville, CIH,FAIHA of Asheville, its Mid-Atlantic regional industrial hygiene manager, was one of 13 individuals selected by the American Industrial Hygiene Association (AIHA) as a 2015 Distinguished Lecturer.

In his role as a Distinguished Lecturer, Linville will provide lectures in his area of expertise to others in the industrial hygiene community, as well as AIHA’s outreach partners. Mr. Linville has been a lecturer at AIHA’s annual convention (AIHce) for the past ten years, speaking on Proper Protection Equipment (PPE). As this award attests his peers and industry organizations regard him as an expert in this specialty of industrial hygiene. Mr. Linville is honored to be a part of this program that features renowned thought leaders in academia, industry and government.

Mr. Don Linville, CIH, FAIHA, holds a Master of Science degree from East Tennessee State University and has over 35 years of experience providing technical direction to both private sector and government agencies regarding all aspects of health and hygiene with emphases on industrial hygiene, health and safety. Linville received Fellow status with AIHA in 2008 for his significant contributions to the industrial hygiene field. Fellows of AIHA are full members in good standing for a minimum of 15 years and who have made recognized contributions to industrial hygiene or related disciplines.
