From the City of Asheville:
The Town of Black Mountain Fire Department has scheduled hydrant flushing for the dates through Monday September 23, 2013 through Wednesday October 2, 2013. Scheduled flushing could inconvenience City of Asheville Water Customers that are in close proximity to or within the Town of Black Mountain town limits. Inconveniences could result in low water pressure and or discolored water. Flushing is not scheduled to take place on Saturday and Sunday, September 21 through 22, 2013
Surrounding areas may experience low pressure during the flushing. When the work is completed, customers may experience discolored water or air in the lines and are advised to wait until the water is clear before using it.
Properties in the affected areas are receiving a notification by telephone via the city’s automated system. Citizens may register unlisted phone numbers, cell phone numbers, toll free numbers, or business numbers by clicking on the Citizens Alert Sign-Up link, located in the right column on the front page of the City’s website. www.ashevillenc.gov
