Buncombe County closing at 1 p.m. due to inclement weather

Press release from Buncombe County:

Due to inclement weather, Buncombe County will close at 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 10. This includes parks, libraries, and administrative offices. The landfill and the solid waste transfer station will remain open as long as roads safely allow. Community Care Stations will remain open Friday.

The Buncombe County Courthouse also will close at 1 p.m. Friday.
FCC Environmental trucks are completing routes in the Fairview area. Once completed, crews will move to regularly scheduled Friday routes in North Buncombe weather permitting. If collection days are fully delayed, customers will receive an automated call from FCC Environmental.
Buncombe County Community Care Stations, Landfill, Transfer Station, and Libraries are scheduled to open at 10 a.m. Saturday.
All FEMA Helene Disaster Recovery Centers in North Carolina are closed Friday-Saturday, Jan. 10-11, due to inclement weather. They will reopen at 8 a.m. Monday, Jan. 13.
