From Caring Transitions of Western NC
Press release
Hendersonville, NC – Keith Hawkins understands that working through a challenging situation takes a certain kind of finesse. When his grandmother, who was struggling with Alzheimer’s, refused to go the hospital, he was able to get her the care she needed by providing the right kind of support and encouragement. It’s that understanding attitude that led Hawkins to open his own business, Caring Transitions of Western NC.
Caring Transitions is America’s largest resource for managing senior relocations as well as downsizing and estate liquidations. In addition to organizing, packing, decluttering, moving and resettling, Caring Transitions can handle estate sales, liquidations, and preparing homes for market. Caring Transitions of Western NC serves Hendersonville, Asheville, Lake Lure and the surrounding communities.
“I’ve had many friends and families face challenging transitions and I see this as an opportunity for me to own a business that can make a positive impact. I’ve always been heavily involved in the community – including my work with local fire departments – so working closely with people in this community is important to me. I’m looking forward to working with families and providing these services through Caring Transitions,” Hawkins said.
Before opening Caring Transitions, Hawkins spent a decade in construction and another 14 years in construction supply. Hawkins also served in the military as a Military Police Officer during Desert Storm and was stationed all around Europe, but mainly in Germany.
Whether your situation is planned or unexpected, Caring Transitions’ services are perfect for seniors moving in with family or into a safer living situation, busy families, and people clearing out the home of a loved one who has passed. All of Caring Transitions’ services are customizable, so clients only pay for the services they need – whether that means managing the entire move and estate-clearing or just getting someone resettled into their new place.
“Sometimes helping someone relocate or working with a family going through an estate liquidation can be complicated. I have always had a knack for maneuvering those kinds of challenging situations, so I’m looking forward to being able to serve as that family advocate as the owner of Caring Transitions,” Hawkins said.
“Things change in your life and it’s OK to ask someone to help you get through it. I want to be that resource for people in this community,” he added.
Hawkins is a Certified Relocation and Transition Specialist, a designation bestowed by an independent organization that evaluates providers of senior relocation services. Caring Transitions of Western NC is bonded and insured and all employees are background-checked.
