Meet and mingle with City Council candidates on Thursday, Sept. 10 from 6-8 p.m. at the YWCA on South French Broad Street.
All candidates in the primary election for Asheville City Council have been invited to set up a table and meet informally with community members. Candidates will also have an opportunity to give a brief speech on “Why Am I Running?”
A coalition of nonprofit organizations is hosting the event, including the League of Women Voters of Asheville Buncombe County, Children First/Communities in Schools, Green Opportunities, the YWCA and Democracy North Carolina.
