City of Asheville ready to assist those unable to obtain drinking water

Press release from city of Asheville:

Recent severe weather has left some members of the community without usable drinking water.

City staff is able to provide gallon jugs of water to those who are unable to get these themselves

Those unable to obtain drinking water on their own please call 211 between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, December 28 to share the information needed to assist you. NC 211. Please be patient when calling 211 as there may be a higher wait time than normal

City staff will be available to update the community as to the current water situation as well as the City’s response.
