From the Asheville Citizen-Times:
ASHEVILLE — The city of Asheville is planning to buy a crumbling building that was the site of a recent homicide and a structure a neighborhood group calls a public safety hazard.
The city recently secured an option to buy the graffiti-spattered building at 91 Riverside Dr. and has entered negotiations, city spokeswoman Dawa Hitch said Friday afternoon. Asheville Ice & Storage Co. Inc sold two pieces of property, 90 and 91 Riverside Drive, to Ice Plant of Asheville LLC in 2005 for $264,000, according to property tax records.
