County offices to close for Thanksgiving holiday

Press release from Buncombe County Government:

Buncombe County Government offices will be closed Thursday, Nov. 24, and Friday, Nov. 25, in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. Please see below for additional schedule information.

Buncombe County Courthouse

Buncombe County courts observe the North Carolina Judicial Branch holiday schedule and will be closed Nov. 24-25.

Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office

Buncombe County Sheriff’s Office front desk will be closed Nov. 24-25, all other operations will be on a normal schedule.

Emergency Services & Public Safety Communications

Administrative offices will be closed Nov. 24-25. EMS and 911 maintain normal operations.

Family Justice Center

The Family Justice Center will be closed Nov. 24-25. You can find 24-hour hotline information on our website.

Health & Human Services

All BCHHS services will be closed Nov. 24-25.

Mountain Mobility

Mountain Mobility services will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and will resume normal operations on Friday, Nov. 25.

Parks & Recreation Services

Parks & Recreation administration offices will be closed Nov. 24-25. All parks and facilities in the Buncombe County system will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and will be resume a regular schedule on Friday, Nov. 25.

Public Libraries

All Buncombe County Public Libraries will be closed Nov. 24-29. The digital library is always available at buncombecounty.org/library.

Register of Deeds

The Buncombe County Register of Deeds will be closed Nov. 24-25. Online services will remain available.

Solid Waste

The Buncombe County Landfill and Transfer Station will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24 and will operate on a regular schedule Friday, Nov. 25.

Waste Pro

Waste Pro trash and recycling collection services will be closed on Thursday, Nov. 24. Thursday collection will take place on Friday, Nov. 25, and Friday collection on Saturday, Nov. 26.
