From a press release:
Echoview Fiber Mill Holds benefit for employee battling cancer, May 3
When Marilyn Rogers was diagnosed with cancer back in 2009, she fought it courageously and ended up beating it. This past February, Marilyn, who is a single mom of two girls, ages 9 and 17, and a spinning machine operator at Echoview Fiber Mill, received the news that the cancer was back.
In a show of support, Echoview Fiber Mill will host a “Motorcycles for Marilyn’ benefit on May 3rd, from 11 to 4pm at the mill on 76 Jupiter Road, Weaverville, NC 28787, with all donations going towards Marilyn’s medical expenses.
“Marilyn works hard and is a great mom, she just needs some help from her friends,” said Susan Boles, the Customer Service Representative at Echoview Fiber Mill who co-organized the event.
“I thought this would be a great way of showing her how much we care and that, working together, we can do something to help.”
