Four North Carolina schools are up for the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools Award, including Asheville’s own Evergreen Community Charter School.

Three North Carolina public schools and one private school are among those competing for the U.S. Department of Education’s Green Ribbon Schools Award, which recognizes the highest performing green schools in the nation.
