Five arrested on gun, drug charges

Press release from Asheville Police Department:

Asheville, NC (March 15, 2024):  Asheville Police Department detectives and officers arrested five Thursday afternoon on gun and drug charges as they conducted proactive enforcement after receiving several community complaints of illicit gun activity.

While conducting their crime prevention investigation in central Asheville on March 7 after receiving complaints about illegal firearm activity in the area. Officers made contact with a man in possession of a firearm and a juvenile in possession of a Polymer 80 ghost gun. Both were found to be in possession of drugs.  Officers worked with the Department of Juvenile Justice to levy charges.

As officers were later working crime prevention in other various Asheville locations, they were able to make contact with four wanted.

Seized:

-Taurus G2S pistol (9mm)

-Polymer 80 personally manufactured firearm (9mm)

-2.26g of crack

-1.86g of fentanyl

-22DU of MDMA

-4.52g of marijuana

-$647

Arrested:

Juvenile

-Juvenile Petition: Possession of Handgun by a Minor

-Juvenile Petition: Carrying a Concealed Gun

-Juvenile Petition: Possession with the Intent to Sell/Distribute Schedule I

Germain Justin Logan (3/11/2003)

-Charged: Possession with the Intent to Sell/Distribute Schedule I

-Charged: Possession with the Intent to Sell/Distribute Schedule II

-Charged: Carrying a Concealed Gun

-Charged: Resit Officers

-Charged: Simple Possession Schedule VI

-Charged: Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

Logan was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility and released under a $3,000 secured bond.

Thomas Michael Jury III (06/22/1995)

-Warrant: Felony Parole Violation

Jury was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible to be released) due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.

Robert Peter Eichman (09/29/1997)

-Probation Violation x4

Eichman was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility underNO BOND (ineligible to be released) due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.

Tyler Gage Rumbough (04/04/1995)

-Warrant: Parole Violation

Rumbough was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility under NO BOND (ineligible to be released) due to the Pretrial Integrity Act.

Bradley Alan Linc (11/28/1985)

-Warrant: Felony Possession of Stolen Goods

Linc was booked into the Buncombe County Detention Facility and released under a $1,000 secured bond (or $500 to a bondsman) issued by the magistrate.
