Press release from Haywood County:

Points of distribution in Haywood County are in need of propane and cleaning supplies to support those affected by Helene.
Drop-Off Location: Woodland Baptist Church, 545 Crabtree Rd, Waynesville
For large donations (18-wheelers, etc): Call the Call Center at 828-356-2020
Please note: We cannot accept clothing, toys, or gently used items at this time. Thank you for understanding and for your generosity!
If you’d like to make a monetary donation, you can do so through United Way of Haywood County. Their website is uwhaywood.org.

Curfew
A curfew is in effect from 9 PM to 7 AM. Please stay off the roads unless necessary.
Court Schedule
All Haywood County courts are canceled this week. On Monday, October 7th, Haywood County court will be open to handle emergency hearings and statutorily required hearings.

Debris Removal: Place debris beside the road (not on it), separate tree debris from construction materials, and take photos for FEMA documentation purposes.
