Historic Johnson Farm hosts Christmas event Dec. 8

Historic Johnson Farm

Press release from Historic Johnson Farm:

Historic Johnson Farm will be hosting its annual Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec. 8, from 2:00-6:00 p.m. For over 25 years, Historic Johnson Farm has celebrated Christmas with an old-fashioned flair. This year, the event will include tours of the decorated 1880s farmhouse, visits with Santa, children’s crafts, wagon ride, animals, live music, and free cookies and cider.

Santa will be on the 1920s boarding house porch in an old-fashioned sleigh. Visitors are invited to bring their cameras for this nice photo opportunity. The gift shop of the Heritage Weavers and Fiber Artists is in the boarding house, and there will be readings of Christmas stories there as well. The Morning Star Recorder Consort of Matthews, NC will offer live music that day.

Tickets may be purchased at the door. Adults are $5, students are $3, and children under 5 are free. Tickets can be purchased with cash, card, or check. Most activities are included with admission. The bake sale, raffle baskets, and hot chocolate bar are extra (cash only). Please leave tobacco, alcohol, and pets at home.

All proceeds go to support the preservation and operation of the nonprofit Historic Johnson Farm, its 15 acres, 10 historic structures, and its educational programs.

Historic Johnson Farm is located at 3346 Haywood Road in Hendersonville across from Rugby Middle School. Parking will be available at the farm for those needing handicapped accommodations. General parking is at Rugby Middle School with shuttles running throughout the event.
