From the city of Asheville:
ASHEVILLE – The City of Asheville’s and the Citizen-Times City Marathon/5K have worked together to minimize detour and delays for Asheville Redefines Transit (ART) on Friday September 27th from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm and Sat. September 28th from 6am-1pm.
Below is the list of expected detours and delays, but changes to routes and detours may occur on other routes without further notice as necessary for safety and on-time performance.
Friday September 27th
N- Montford – Downtown – MLK – Charlotte St. – Grove Park Inn
Delays possible from 7:30 pm – 8:30 pm.
Saturday, September 28th
N1- Merrimon Ave. – Lakeshore Rd.
During the 7am trip, N1 will serve the transit-stop on Elkwood Ave at Merrimon, then turn around and return to downtown via Merrimon Ave. N1 will serve the transit-stop at Merrimon Ave @ Beaverdam Rd. and Merrimon Ave @ Lakeshore Dr.
N1 will not serve Lakeshore Dr. and the following transit stop from 7am-8am.
Elkwood Ave @ Valley Park Rd
Lakeshore Dr @Elkwood Ave
Lakeshore Dr @ Westwood Rd.
Lakeshore Dr @ Glenview Rd
Lakeshore Dr @ Pine Tree Circle
Lakeshore Dr @ Mt Vernon Place
Lakeshore Dr @ Merrimon Ave
N2- Merrimon Ave. – Beaverdam Rd.
Delays possible on Beaverdam Rd around 7:45 am only.
C – Louisiana Ave. – Biltmore Village – Fairview Rd.
Delays possible on Amboy Rd. from 7:50-11:20 am.
W1 – Haywood Rd -Deaverview Rd
Delays possible on Hilliard Ave and Clingman Ave. from 7:45-12:45.
W2 – Haywood Rd – Brevard Rd
Delays possible on Hilliard Ave and Clingman Ave. from 7:45-12:45.
S4 – S. French Broad Ave. – Livingston Heights – AB-Tech
Delays possible on Livingston Ave., Depot St. and Oakland from 7:45-12:45.
