Mission Health’s broke ground on Thursday for a new 635,000 square-foot facility that will include 220 patient rooms, an expanded and new Emergency Department and parking, consolidated Operating Rooms with support space, Interventional Cardiology, Interventional Radiology and a helipad. Construction is expected to be complete in Fall 2018.
The purpose of the expansion is to accommodate growth and meet future needs. The St. Joseph’s facility is outdated and would be too costly to renovate, according to Mission Health officials.
