PeopleForBikes’ 400-mile Fundraising Ride on Atlanta Kicks-off in Asheville with Public Send-off

NASCAR Champion Jimmie Johnson joins PeopleForBikes on 130-mile leg to Charlotte

WHAT: PeopleForBikes’ Ride on Atlanta is an annual fundraising and awareness bicycle tour that aims to celebrate and advance bike riding in the Southeast. PeopleForBikes and an elite group of athletes, bike advocates and business executives will pedal 400 miles from Asheville, North Carolina to Atlanta, Georgia from March 30 – April 2. The group will make stops in Charlotte, North Carolina, Greenville, South Carolina, and Athens, Georgia before arriving in Atlanta.

NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson will join group on day one, March 30, riding an astonishing 130-miles from Asheville to Charlotte! Jimmie is an avid rider and uses road cycling and mountain biking as significant part of his physical training regimen.

Jimmie is joining the Ride on Atlanta to help raise awareness around the fact that bike riders and motorists can safely and happily share the road. Please join PeopleForBikes and Jimmie in Pack Square Park for the big send-off:
