Opportunity Appalachia – North Carolina launch webinar

Mountain BizWorks invites you to the launch of the North Carolina phase of Opportunity Appalachia, on Wednesday, February 16 from 1:00-2:30 PM (EST).This event will be held virtually.

Opportunity Appalachia will bring technical assistance and investment resources to economically impactful development projects across WNC. Selected communities and participants will receive up to $75,000 in technical assistance to go towards making the projects ready for investment.

Project applications will be due by April 15th, 2022, so be sure to join the virtual event to learn how your project can be part of Opportunity Appalachia!

The event will include remarks from Jordan Whichard, Chief Deputy Secretary of the North Carolina Department of Commerce, and Donna Gambrell, President & CEO of Appalachian Community Capital, Other participants will include speakers from Rural Support Partners, Dogwood Health Trust, and the Economic Development Partnership of North Carolina.

As the lead partner in North Carolina, Mountain BizWorks invites all interested community and economic development leaders, local elected officials, developers, and business owners to learn about the opportunity to obtain technical assistance for important development projects to move your community forward.
