Press release from Organic Growers School:
We have good news—we’re officially ‘graduating’ from A-B Tech’s Small Business Incubator program! We have been searching for new offices for a few weeks and are delighted to be moving to the Smith Mill Works complex in West Asheville effective October 1, 2018.
We are very excited to make this move. There are several other agricultural businesses already in the complex with more on the way. We think this will be a perfect fit for OGS and our mission.
One advantage of our tenure at A-B Tech Enka is that we were provided with some basic office furniture that we will now need to procure for our new space—that’s where you could come in.
We are looking for donations or opportunities to purchase (inexpensively) the following items…
Office Work Tables
Ideal size will be 3’x4′, 3’x5′, 3’x6′ or 4’x6′. The how manyquestion will be answered by the combination of offers and sizes.
Chairs
At least 6 office-style chairs, wheeled would be great. Some stackable chairs (3 or 4?) for occasional use.
Miscellaneous
A small credenza or other suitable platform for our printer and copy paper storage.
We’re also looking for support from…
Volunteers
We need 5 or so folks who can help lift heavy things for part or all of the day on Sunday September 30th. If you have a truck, that’s even better. Please contact Sera at farmer-programs@organicgrowersschool.org.
We are moving on September 30, 2018, so we’d like to have everything lined up a few days prior. Our Administrative Director, Rod Bowling, is coordinating this effort. Please route all questions or offers through him. He will coordinate the offers, pickups, etc.
Please email Rod at rod@organicgrowersschool.org if you have anything to donate or sell. For further questions, you may reach him on his cell at 828-689-4353.
