Range Urgent Care to Provide a Convenient, Affordable Health Care Option for City of Asheville Residents
New Urgent Care Center to Offer Convenient Injury and Illness Care
(ASHEVILLE, NC) August 21, 2017 – Asheville residents will soon have a new option for their urgent healthcare needs. Local startup, Range Urgent Care will open its first center this November in North Asheville at 674 Merrimon Ave (across the street from Asheville Brewing). Range Urgent Care will offer walk-in medical treatment during evenings and weekends in addition to normal business hours. Construction is now under way by local general contractor, Wells Construction.
Range Urgent Care is locally owned and operated by husband-and-wife team of Mathew and Stephanie Trowbridge, MD and will offer a wide array of services to treat non-emergent and non-life-threatening conditions from the common cold to broken bones. The 3,300sf facility will feature four exam rooms and one procedure room as well as on-site digital x-ray imaging and labs.
Range will also offer virtual visits with their local providers through a secure video platform giving patients an even more convenient and affordable option for receiving care directly from their smartphone, tablet or computer, from the convenience of their home or office.
The clinic plans to be opioid free as one of many initiatives being implemented to prioritize long-term healing and health for its patients, The clinic also aims to provide a safe space for all members of the community and pay employees living wages.

Patients in need of immediate, quality care for non-life-threatening injuries or illnesses will be able to visit the center Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. More information is available online at rangeurgentcare.com.

Range Urgent Care is locally owned and operated by husband-and-wife team, Mathew and Stephanie Trowbridge, MD. The first clinic will open in November, 2017 at 674 Merrimon Ave in Asheville, NC. Stephanie Trowbridge, MD is an emergency room physician. She completed medical school at the University of South Carolina, and residency at Duke University, where she became chief resident and also completed a fellowship in EMS at UNC.
