The UNC Asheville Department of History will present a panel discussion, ISIS: Terror in the Name of Islam, at noon on Thursday, Nov. 5 in UNC Asheville’s Karpen Hall, Laurel Forum. This event is free and open to the public.
The panel discussion aims to address the causes leading to the rise and success of the terrorist organization, ISIS, and discuss solutions to this world crisis. Panelists include Samer Traboulsi, associate professor of history at UNC Asheville; UNC Asheville student Tristan Mead; and Joseph Urgo, UNC Asheville provost and vice chancellor of academic affairs.
