Wedge Brewing Company to host chili cook-off fundraiser to benefit local skatepark

Wedge Brewing company is proud to partner with PUSH Skate Shop to hose the inaugural chili cook-off to benefit the River Arts District DIY skatepark known as the Foundation Spot. The chili cook-off’s goal is to help the skatepark raise funds to assist in expanding the park’s features as well as to help toward their insurance coverage. Fundraising organizer and Wedge bartender Matt Miller says, “This is an exciting event for us because it’s outside of our normal fundraising efforts. We have partnered with Wedge on a few other events and they are a big supporter of the skate scene and the DIY park.”

The cook-off will be held at Wedge’s Foundation location at 5 Foundy Street on Mar. 2 from 4-9 p.m. The event will be open to the public for tasting with a $10 donation at the door. The cook-off will feature both meat and vegetarian categories with a winner announced for each category.
