Winter Warmer returns

Asheville’s largest winter beer festival is back on Saturday, Jan. 24. Winter Warmer, now in its eighth year, has continued to grow and is now held on the main floor of the Asheville Civic Center. It’s not just the lack of competition this time of year that makes the festival a huge draw. The organizers have built a strong reputation for the event. There always seems to be plenty of brewery owners and brewers pouring their own beer, and there are always out-of-market treats — this year it’s Great Lakes from Cleveland, Ohio, and Miami Brewing. General Admission tickets are $48 and still for sale at ashevillebeerfest.com. Designated Driver tickets are also available but V.I.D. (Very Important Drinker) tickets have sold out.
