Vendors, buskers, street preachers and festivalgoers rubbed shoulders, exchanged cash, chowed down and drank copious amounts of beer during Asheville’s busiest time of the year. A few scenes from a long, hot Saturday (with just a little rain).
4 more bands on the roster: Delta Moon, Fusebox Funk, Highly Kind (with Derek Trucks’ little brother) and The Family Stone (with Sly Stone’s whole family tree).
Five more bands are added to the Bele Chere roster: GFE, Laura Blackley Band, Drew Holcomb, Hot Politics and Bulls Gap.
Local indie-pop favorites Stephaniesid and quirk-duo Two Man Gentlemen Band (from Long Island) will perform at Bele Chere.
The Dirty Guv’nahs, The Afromotive and Mac Arnold & Plate Full O’ Blues all announce plans to play this year’s Bele Chere Festival.
Dar Williams and Old 97s have both announced plans to play Bele Chere.
